FINISH X – CHROME DYE INFUSION
With such a wide spectrum of different bathroom colours & finishes now available, many designers and retailers experience difficulty in matching certain items to the main bathroom tap colour the clients have selected. With FINISH X however, we produce complementary colours that can be applied over the chrome product on all sorts of ancillary products.
So, how does it all work?
Ideally we require a polished steel or a chrome product to start with. We then apply our ‘etch’ and the colour of your choice over the donor product to complement your main colour scheme. It doesn’t matter what the product is made from. We can overlay our colours onto ABS, Plastics, Chrome, Steel and Aluminum.
Depending on your colour requirement we can start with other finishes but please contact us to discuss.
We first apply our unique translucent “etch” primer that bonds itself on to a polished surface such as polished steel or chrome plated brass.
Special dyes are then applied that infuse into the primer and onto the surface to effectively change the colour of the product to another colour.

Special dyes are then applied that infuse into the primer to effectively and reliably change the colour of the donor product to complement other finishes within the bathroom. in normal plating processes the chrome has to be removed as nothing wants to stick to a chrome surface as its too hard and too shiny. We do not remove the chrome so no harsh chemicals are used. The durable quality of chrome is therefore retained providing a long lasting finish. The levels of translucency can be adjusted to provide a high gloss finish all the way through to a completely matt one. As well as having over 40 metallic colours we can also offer any RAL colour.

Things We Can Do
We retain the durable qualities of Chrome.
Our dyes are translucent and allow the surface of the donor oproduct to show through.
We refinsh items made from chrome, steel, ABS & Aluminium.
We have over 40 stock colours that we can mix to complement an array of diffrent colours.
We can do metallic finishes, RAL colours and some two tone effects.
Our process creates a permenant and hard wearing surface and comes with a 2 year warranty.
Unlike PVD our finished surface does not show finger marks and provides a natural barirer against grease marks.
Things We Can’t Do.
We do not claim to be a colour matching service.
Rather we can mix complementary colours that are in the same family or pallet as your desired finish.
We wont hand brush a product before or after re finishing.
We offer satin finishes.
We cannot change the surface of a brushed or satin surface into high gloss.
Are process uses trabslucent dyes so your surface will come through the final colour.
We cannot make a darker product lighter.

We are also able to re colour the remote control and flush plates.
In this case it was a Satin Gold that was required.
This was a specialist bath grab bar that was only available in chrome.
We needed to re colour this to compliment a Treemme colour.
We reckon we deserve a medal for this one!
